Eng. Hatim Saad Al-Asiri brings over 20 years of multidisciplinary industrial experience to his role as Planning Manager at Al Tilal Steel, where he oversees operational planning, cost control, and performance monitoring across all production departments. His role is pivotal in aligning the plant’s day-to-day operations with executive targets while ensuring optimal resource utilization, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Before joining Al Tilal Steel, Eng. Hatim held senior leadership roles at Rajhi Steel Company, one of the Kingdom’s major steel producers. Over a 12-year tenure, he advanced through multiple key positions, including Section Head of Rolling Mill Maintenance and Senior Section Head of Central Maintenance. He managed complex operations, led large-scale maintenance teams, and helped establish one of the most comprehensive in-house mechanical workshops in the Saudi steel sector. His strategic initiatives in spare parts production and localized manufacturing led to substantial annual savings.

At Al Tilal Steel, Hatim has played a vital role in optimizing SAP-based planning processes, improving inventory accuracy, streamlining production forecasts, and enforcing preventive maintenance systems. He is actively engaged in operational troubleshooting, cost analysis, and production yield evaluation, contributing directly to improved plant efficiency and executive decision-making.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Saudi Aramco as a Drilling Engineer and with SABIC (Kemya) as an Operations Technician. These early roles provided him with practical experience in high-stakes industrial environments and broadened his understanding of systems planning and process control.

Eng. Hatim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in the United States and an Executive MBA from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. He is proficient in both SAP and Oracle ERP systems and has completed extensive training in strategic planning, maintenance reliability, safety management, SKF technologies, and project leadership.
