Khawaja Haroon Pasha is a Chartered Accountant (UK) and veteran industrial leader with over four decades of experience across finance, industry, education, media, and public service. Since 2014 he serves the Chief Executive Officer of Al Tilal Steel Company, where he has led the company’s transformation into one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading steel manufacturers. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its operational scale, introduced advanced production technologies, and aligned closely with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 industrial goals.

Mr. Pasha trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in the United Kingdom and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. His early career spanned international roles, including serving as Financial Controller for American Construction Company in Iraq, where he led large-scale industrial construction projects, and as a senior consultant at PwC in Pakistan, managing major consultancy and advisory portfolios.

He held senior executive positions at the Ittefaq Group of Industries, where he directed financial and operational restructuring for one of Pakistan’s largest industrial enterprises. From 2001 to 2013, he served in senior leadership roles with the Punjab Group of Colleges and was instrumental in the establishment and expansion of Dunya News, a leading television network. He also remained on the board of governors of the University of Central Punjab and the board of the director of Educational Excellence Ltd. (the largest educational network in Pakistan) for 12 years between 2002 and 2014.

Mr. Pasha’s public service includes a key appointment to the Board of Management of Lahore General Hospital, where he was mandated by the Government of Pakistan to reform one of the country’s largest public health institutions. His ability to lead institutional turnaround, implement governance reform, and drive operational excellence has been recognized across both public and private sectors.

He holds postgraduate qualifications in finance and accounting from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Punjab. He is fluent in English and Urdu, with working knowledge of Arabic.
