Usman Saeed is a seasoned industrial professional with nearly three decades of diverse experience in project coordination, procurement, plant operations, and asset management. He has been a core member of Al Tilal Steel since 2008, where he currently serves as Project and Operations Coordinator. His role bridges technical execution, strategic planning, and vendor engagement playing a vital part in the company’s continuous expansion and modernization.
Mr. Usman Saeed has coordinated numerous high-value capital projects across the company’s melt shop, rolling mill, and scrap yard operations. These include the expansion of induction furnace capacity, commissioning of advanced fume extraction systems, procurement and installation of EOT cranes, and the implementation of complex technologies such as the Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) converter. He has also led logistics and installation processes for heavy-duty assets like the Metso Lindemann scrap shear and the Seram crawler crane, as well as negotiated structural and equipment procurements from global leaders including Danieli Italy, Electrotherm India, and Zamil Steel.
At Al Tilal Steel Mr. Usman Saeed manages technical coordination across vendors, consultants, and internal departments. He is instrumental in reviewing procurement plans, verifying technical documentation, supporting feasibility assessments, and managing plant breakdown analyses. His expertise extends to contract drafting, supplier engagement, and facilitating on-site installation and commissioning. He also plays an active role in identifying future technologies and contributes to the company’s R&D strategy.
Prior to joining Al Tilal Steel, Mr. Usman Saeed held key positions at Sachal Engineering Works and China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation (CPECC), where he served in both technical and administrative capacities. His early experience in mechanical supervision, stores management, and corporate coordination laid the groundwork for his multifaceted industrial career.
He holds a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical from the Board of Technical Education, Lahore, Pakistan. With deep knowledge of plant infrastructure, asset lifecycles, and industrial operations, Usman Saeed Gilani continues to be an indispensable contributor to Al Tilal Steel’s growth, project execution, and operational efficiency.
