Zayd Sharif represents the fourth generation of the Sharif family’s legacy in the steel industry. As the great-grandson of Mian Muhammad Sharif, he brings both heritage and a bold new perspective to the future of Al Tilal Steel. Raised with a deep respect for industrial excellence and national development, Zayd approaches the business with an unwavering passion for modernising steel manufacturing in Saudi Arabia and expanding its global footprint.
Educated at two of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious institutions, he holds a Master’s degree in Management specialising in Economics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from King’s College London. His academic grounding in economics, governance, and management theory informs his strategic oversight of Al Tilal Steel’s long-term growth initiatives.
At Al Tilal Steel, Zayd focuses on strategic planning, corporate governance, sustainability frameworks, and international expansion. He plays a key role in aligning the company’s industrial ambitions with national priorities such as Vision 2030, Saudization, and circular economy integration. His initiatives have included preparing the company’s entry into special steel production, expanding ESG and digital transformation initiatives, and positioning Al Tilal Steel as a global competitor in high-grade steel exports.
Zayd brings with him the energy of a new generation and the responsibility of a storied industrial legacy. His vision for Al Tilal Steel is rooted in resilience, innovation, and purposeful growth building on tradition while forging the future.
